The Hermes V8M dronoid delivered the parcel for the first time from a Decathlon stationary store in Lublin, straight to the customer’s home and hands.
On May 11, 2021, Spartaqs completed the first-ever transport flight. An order was delivered for the Decathlon chain of stores, straight from the store to the customer’s estate.
The Hermes V8M dronoid took off from the landing field at the Decathlon store in Lublin (Węglin) with several different loads on board. The first one was taken by the customer after covering a distance of 1.5 kilometers, while making a stopover on his private property.
After receiving the expected shipment, the dronoid took off again, traversing a 7-kilometer route and continued its flight towards the second Decathlon store in Lublin (Czechów City). After successful landing, the store staff picked up the remaining components of the transported order.
The Hermes V8M was flying at an altitude of 120 meters and despite the sunny weather, the flight conditions turned out to be very difficult. This is due to strong gusts of wind, sometimes reaching even 18 meters per second.
Nevertheless, the Spartaqs dronoid performed its task flawlessly and the strong wind did not limit the functionality of our machine in any way. All goals were achieved as expected and our client was satisfied.
For the first time, a large retail chain has decided to take up the gaunlet and meet the customer’s expectations with the help of unmanned systems. Another historic step is behind us and soon comes more.
